YGH has completed three phases of work at the Portland Metropolitan Exposition Center. The first project, the 131,000 sf Hall E – was completed in record time (15 months) to accommodate “America’s Smithsonian,” the first traveling exhibition of Smithsonian artifacts. The project enabled Expo to host more sophisticated special events and started the process of upgrading the entire facility to world-class levels. Following the success of Hall E, YGH worked with MERC to master plan the entire sixty-acre site to accommodate 500,000 sf of events space. Finally, YGH completed the 125,000 sf Hall D to provide Expo with 72,000 sf of column-free exhibit space, expanded food service, meeting rooms and new administrative offices.
