Based on a maximum rig count, the Master Plan identified current and future requirements for the office/residential, waterfront/warehousing and industrial zones of the campus with the objective of developing a circulation and zoning plan, creating a more efficient work environment and transforming Malongo from a camp into a community. The master plan outlined three stages of expansion, increasing the current capacity of 1000 camp residents to 3300. Planning solutions addressed circulation and zoning, an inclusive community center, expansion of offices, upgrading of existing housing, developing new residential neighborhoods, increasing camp services and establishing guidelines for landscaping, sustainability, utilities and roads.
