Walker Templeton

Director of Design

A native of Montana, Walker comes from a family of builders which instilled a deep appreciation for the building profession, art and the environment. Along with admiration for craftsman who build things from scratch, including his father who set an example as an artist, builder, and cowboy. At a very young age Walker was allowed to create floor plans and then watch them come to life. He carries intimate knowledge of the building industry and the art of design forward in his work today.

Walker attended the University of Oregon on a football scholarship, choosing the school because of its architecture program. While playing football he earned a BFA in multimedia design, exploring many forms of media from digital to photography, welding, sculpting and furniture design—paired with a B.S. degree in business. He followed with a master’s degree in architecture and six months in Rome, Italy, giving symposiums on U.S. west coast urban architecture at universities across Europe.

Walker’s architectural background includes work on civic, mixed-use, medical, and higher education buildings, including several at the University of Oregon. He has also owned his own custom residential design company.
